(Double Concerto)
BBC RADIO 3:
‘A
thoroughly accomplished recital, technically secure, with a wide dynamic
range.....’

wonderfully delicate passages only made the forte passages work more
effectively, when sudden bursts of power were unleashed...’
‘A very
accomplished musician indeed, technically completely on top and he really
did project the different musical characters of the pieces. He used a very
wide dynamic and colour range....everything was beautifully phrased and
finished...’
(Solo recital)
DAGENS NYHETER, STOCKHOLM:
‘Debussy’s glittering sonata for harp, flute and viola started off a
striking program which included Heinz Holliger’s Boulez-inspired
Sequenzen
über Johannes
I,32 for solo harp, Toru Takemitsu’s And

created beautiful and sensitive sounds based both on mathematical principles
and sensual Latin rhythms.
Perhaps

(20th
century music for solo harp and harp with chamber ensemble)
CARROL McLAUGHLIN:
‘An
exceptional harpist...He has a natural ease at the harp and a brilliant
technique which allows him a great communication with his audiences....’
